ONCE UPON A TIME ... I was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I was the first of my parents' four daughters (Me, Diana, Reida and Rhonda). I started school in Mobile, Alabama. Our family moved to Decatur, GA when I was still in the first grade. I went to Glen Haven Elementary School (my Mom taught seventh grade there when I was a third-grader). We lived in Pendley Hills, where we made wonderful friends and a lifetime of wonderful memories. I began high school at Towers. Our family moved to Ormond Beach, Florida the summer after my eighth-grade year. Although Ormond Beach had its perks (weather, friends, BEACH), our family was very happy when we moved back to the Stone Mountain area the summer of my Junior year in high school. I went back to Towers High and graduated in 1970. After graduating from Towers, I became a perpetual college student -- I attended various colleges (DeKalb, Mercer, Georgia State) on-and-off for YEARS! In between attending classes at one school or another, I worked at NUMEROUS jobs in an effort to live on my own.
