Deborah's Story
Life
I left Terre Haute in 1974 after marrying an ISU grad. who was from New York. Over my 11 years of marriage, we lived in N.Y., Michigan, Rhode Island, Washington, D.C. and ended up in Houston Texas in 1980. I've lived here since 1980. Following a divorce, I returned to college to complete my B.S. in English and Psychology. I taught at a private school for one year, and then went to graduate school at the University of Houston to get my Masters in Clinical Social Work. I've been working as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Psychotherapist since 1989. Everything from counseling in schools to working in psychiatric treatment centers, to hospice work. I "never have two days alike"! I love the variety and helping people!
I have three fantastic kids, all grown and college graduates. That's my greatest accomplishment since...Expand for more
I left T.H.
My oldest daughter, Anna-marie (29) with a degree in Pol. Sci. living in Austin, looking for a place to channel her zeal and contribute her boundless energy to help somewhere in the world. My second daughter, Christina Lynn (27) B.S. in Early Child. Educ., married a month following graduation. She lives in north Texas in the hometown of her husband, also a teacher and coach at the local high school. They have given me three precious grand-daughters, Carly & Chloe (3) are twins, and Chyla (1 mo.).
My only son, Aaron (nearly 25) is a graduate of the US Air Force Academy, now a 2nd Lt. stationed in Little Rock, Arkansas as the Officer in Charge of the Network Communications Center. He may soon have to leave for the "war."
I have only seen a few of you since high school. But, it would be great to reconnect online.
