Deborah's Story

I am now officially retired from the education field, but subbing to keep my hand in. I came to education late in the game- it wasn't until I moved to Arizona in 94 that I finally went back and got my masters in educational leadership. I taught world history, geography at the high school level, and k-12 art. I loved being the principal or the assistant principal of both elementary and high school, and even joined the DODEA to be able to travel a little. Spent 2 glorious years in Japan before my husband Joel and I came back and settled into retirement in Prescott AZ. We love it here! Joel is my 3rd husband. He retired from the education field also as a college administrator. My son David is a special ed elementa...Expand for more
ry teacher, and Joel daughter Traci is a social worker with one daughter and his son Jason with 2 children is in army intelligence. I am horrible with names, but I do look at my HS album every once in awhile. Yep, I kept it. Some awesome people in it! I really envied people who knew each other since kindergarten since we moved so often since my dad was in the Air Force. He retired in Myrtle Beach then moved us to Hartsville. I was only at Hartsville High for my senior year, but my mom and sister still live there. I don't get back as often as I would like to see them. Anyone coming to AZ is certainly welcome to come on and visit! And no, Prescott is not where the brutal summer heat is. Love the weather here!
