Deborah's Story
Life
Am now living in Canadian, TX. I meet a special man (which we found out that we grew up 3 miles from each other), we married Oct of 08. We have 6 children between us and my middle daughter has a child, so we are officially grandparents. Our children range between 14 and 21.
Life is grand when you let God set your life plans.
School
Attended Eisenhower High School in Houston, TX from 1978 to 1982. Just an average teenager that enjoyed being friends with everybody. Ran track for 2 years and was on the drill team for 2 years. Took German for 4 years and all the standard classes that we are required to take as well.TeeHeeHee!!.
College
Attended Amarillo College while raising 3 children. My degree was MDS. Still have 6 classes to go, but on the back burner as teenagers come first for now (don't want to miss out on their fun years of events). Would like to go back and change to Business Management and Photography.
Workplace
Waitress for several years while going to school. Worked in the medical field for 8 years, photography for 10 years. Still enjoy photography but on my own. Helped in the childrens' ministry for several years, but stepped down to spend time with my teenagers. Quit my job in Amarillo to move to Canadian with ...Expand for more
my husband and build our life together. Working a store job for now until I get my photography going again or go back to school and finish my degree.
Military
Joined the USMC, but only made it through boot camp due to a severe allergy (which, I think was a lame excuse to make me leave). Found out day before I left, best friend in camp was the granddaughter of the head officer of the USMC and she had written him as she wanted to see me finish out bootcamp and graduate, as I only had 2weeks left, but he got the letter a day too late, so there was nothing he could do. I teased her and say, "yes, and your grandmother has a white poodle that sits on a special pillow and has it's own room with a king size bed." because I thought she was joking. She told me as a matter of fact, her grandmother has a "black poodle" and it is carried around on a white pillow and does have a room with a kingsize bed, her mother was a retired model and the owned the schools of "Arts and Design Institutes". I about fell over, cuz I thought she was kidding at first. She was serious. It's amazing the people you can meet when you give yourself a chance to build friendships with other people instead of judging them by their appearance or personality at 1st sight.
