Deborah's Story
Life
I live in the Charlotte area of NC; between the kids' grandparents in Pa and Fla. I am a mom, a Nutritionist and volunteer at my church. My daughter is into acting, singing and working to pay the bills and my son is a HS senior and plays in a punk rock band. Our part-time photography business is temporarily on hold-too busy. We love the Lord and enjoy traveling to see family at every opportunity we get!
School
I started Elementary school in Hyde Park, New York and transferred to Pa in third grade. I wasn't accepted at Cochran and we were transferred to St. Boniface for a "better education". Things got a little better at Curtin and by High School I was becoming "me" and having a great time. WAHS were some of the best years of my pre-adult life....good times, good friends, good memories!
College
I finished 2 years at Penn State- 1 in Psych, the second in business. I worked full time and still found time to play. I started PSU when I was still 17; I was young and didn't know what I wanted from life yet. I went back to (Bible) college at 22. I took Elementary Education and Bibl...Expand for more
e, worked full time, graduated with top honors and still managed to meet my husband, Tony Sullivan, there. I was definitely the right age.
Workplace
I started in restaurants at the Penn State dining hall, The Tavern Restaurant by night and a bfast place during the summers. I also worked for IBM during my second year. After PSU I worked in Atlantic City; Boston (fine dining and French); then Orange Park, Fla.(Italian); then at Bible College in Baton Rouge, La.(purchasing and banquet assistant and cafe' cashier etc). After I married I ran a cafe in Mo., then moved to Charlotte, NC area where I worked at a hotel and managed a fine dining rest.(long hours). I left to work days(in an accounting job) and spend time with my new husband. After 3 1/2 yrs. I had my daughter and quit to stay home and raise my children. I finished homeschooling my son who is now in public school and have graduated my daughter, manage my daughter's budding acting career, teach Sunday school, volunteer and do all the jobs associated with running a household.
I am also planning on going back to college soon....
