Life
Well, here we are in our 50's. It just doesn't seem possible that we are that old. Due to the fact I became a first time parent in my late 30's I am now living with 2 teenagers (13 & 16). Most of you probably have your kids out of college now! I am enjoying my children's teen years. Most of the time they totally amuse me.
I have been working for the CA Dept of Social Services for 13 years (21 total as a State employee). I work in the Children & Family Services Division currently I am a unit manager in Child Welfare Policy and Program Development. I'll be able to retire (hopefully) in 4 years. My son should be close to graduating college by then, but my daughter will just be finishing her freshmen year of collegge. I will probably work part-time to paya those colle...Expand for more

I have been my daughter's girl scout troop leader for 9 years. For those of you who remember my mother was my troop leader, so I am carrying on a family tradition. My troop enjoys traveling. We've been to Disneyland and to Santa Cruz. There is now talk of going to Hawaii & Mexico in the near future. We will need to sell a lot of girl scout cookies for those trips! If you want to score some girl scout cookies next March give me a call!
Besides my children and girl scouts my other love is the Sacramento Monarchs (Women's National Basketball Assoc. for any of you who don't know). The season starts on June 6th and I can't wait.
Recently I have been training to walk a half marathon which is coming up on May 17th.
