Deborah's Story

Hello, After 25 years as a pastry chef and business owner. I'm now retired. After school I owned Hangtown Bakery, at the Bell Tower. Sold that in the late 70's and moved Murphy's where we bought the Angel's Camp Bakery, then moved to Seattle for 7 years, where we owned Royal Bake Shoppe. After my first husband died there, I moved back to the Sacramento area. Bought Rick's Dessert Diner and later owned Capital Bakery. Baking and business kept me very busy. Long hours six days a week. lax and do all the things I never had the time to do. I work in my garden, It's a 1/3 of an acre and that's enough to keep me pretty busy along with my craft projects and re-decorating the house. My husband and I love to travel. And take off whenever we can. Our favorite mode of transportation is to cruise. So relaxing. I visit Placerville every once in awhile. Like to go to Apple Hill. Placerville certainly has changed since we where in school. I truly wish all who read this good health and happiness.
