Debra's Story
I was a poet then and I'm a poet now! I have 2 published books, and have had many poems published in journals and literary magazines, and have won grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
I have a B.A. from Bowdoin College, in World Religions and English Literature, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Columbia University in NYC, where I also studied Japanese Literature.

I'm the mother of a 21 year old son who lives in Seattle and does standup comedy. He.attended Spokane Falls Community College instead of High School and will be attending the University of Washington at Seattle.
My entire back yard is a big organic fruit and vegetable garden. I practice Yoga and Qi Gong and meditate daily.
