Life After graduation from Granada, I went to Univ. of Idaho where my dad graduated in 1954 and where I had three cousins attending. I avoided dating Agriculture related people because I did not want to marry a farmer. Both sets of grandparents were dairy farmers in Idaho and I saw how hard they worked and how they rarely could take a vacation. My now-husband found out about that so when I asked him what his major was he told me engineering (it was really Ag. Engineering). He later convinced me that row crop farming wasn't as bad as dairy and that he would probably do engineering for at least 10 years. He did engineering for 2 years. We have now lived on or near Blackcat Rd. most of our marriage (32 years). His great-grandfather, grandfather, and father all farmed here. He loves growing and processing his mint crops. The sugar beets and other things are a sideline. I got a degree in math and worked as a programmer/analyst on DEC equipment with COBOL language for about 20 years (some part-time while raising two daughters).
