Debra's Story
After high school I worked at our local IGA store for 8 years total, actually I started working there at age of16 in the Bakery. My very first job! Minimum wage had just gone up to a bewildering $1.60 per hour! WOW!! In the big bucks. Lol. I continued working there for a total of 8 years as a checker. I then worked at Household Finance on the Spur for 6 months until my fiancé and I married on August 27th 1978. We owned and managed Shamrock Monile Home Park until 1983. We've always raise Cattle since our beginning. Our lives were completely changed on June 16th 1978 when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior ! We were then Married 2 months later. We have 2wonderful boy's together and a daughter that was lost in a miscarriage 10-18-81. I survived a near fatal head injury on4/13/80 . We were married just 17.5 months. ide faithfully taking care of me . I lived at Rusk Rehabilitation Center in Columbia for 22 months. God has brought me back with a new perspective on life and His Amazing Mercy and Love! On March 27th 1987 we bought the bare bones of a business selling tools, touch lamps, and knock down furniture and brass figurines. To date God has ins led us to have a successful and thriving local business in two counties. On June 25th 1990 we lost our youngest son Stephen .when you put God First in your life, and in every circumstance, He Blesses. We're still growing as a Child of God and learning more everyday how God wants us to live and work and treat our fellow man according to His instruction . We're so very Thankful for all Gods Blessings and trials we've been through to grow closer to Him, and to bring as many as possible with us to His Saving Grace and knowledge.
