Debra's Story
After Graduation, 1982, In July, I married a "Military Man". We were stationed in Dunoon, Scotland for 3 years. We transferred to the USA in 1985 at the Norfolk, Va Naval Base for 6 months, then returning to Mike's hometown of Bluefield, WV.
In September 1989 my only child a son, was severely injured and my husband was killed in a automobile accident.
'nough said!
I remarried the love of my life "Brian" and moved to Georgia in 1991 and have since called GA "HOME".
Brian a registered land surveyor is self-employed and we own an Engineering/Land Surveying company.
I have dabbled in a bit of everything. I worked at Wachovia Bank for 10 years, and a local bank for two. I have been bookkeeping for 10 years and believe it or not, I am now working out of my home ...Expand for more
as a remote customer service rep. and I verify medical claim status/eligibility and benefits for a company in Kansas City, KS on my personal computer and home phone line.
In my spare time to relax and kick back I like to draw, read books, go to the barn and horse around watch my daughter jump her horse, watch my husband skydive, listen to my son play the guitar, take drives in the mountains and take a nap!
As a parent, what I have learned from my kids is...
"the news is the most violent show on television"
We have 2 children:
My son, interested in Music, Production, Lead Guitar, etc., and is currently enrolled at the Atlanta Institute of Music.
Our daughter a high school student, her interests include Equestrian Show Jumping and becoming a Large Animal Veterinarian.
