Debra's Story
Life
In 1988, I would never have dreamed my life would be where it is today. Then I wanted to live for myself, to do my own thing. Today I live for God and His will for my life. I'm sure some people have wondered, "What in the world has gotten into Debbie?". No doubt they would not recognize the person I am now from the person I was in High school. So what is the difference? Only one thing is different, I saw that Jesus died for me and wanted to give me a new life in Him.
Do you know that He died for you too? Perhaps you think, "Oh, come on, who needs religion anyway?" or maybe "I am god, I don't need a Saviour." or possibly, "I'll go where I deserve to go, besides there's no Hell anyway!" I hope you'll think about these statements in the light of the Bible.
No one needs religion, but everyone needs a Saviour. "FOr all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. " Romans 3:23 "But the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus CHrist our Lord." Romans 6:23.
There is only one God, and He is Holy and cannot tolerate our sin. He is also Just and cannot overlook our sin. E...Expand for more
ven so God is Loving and has reached out to us. "For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
And God is Gracious and offers salvation as a gift, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves it is the Gift of God." Ephesians 2:8
You see, I came to a point in my life 11 years ago where I realized all these things about God. I was left with two choices: reject Jesus or accept Jesus as my Saviour. What will you do with Jesus? This is the most important question you'll ever answer in your entire life. If you would like to talk with me about the things written here please write to me at sborrmann (at) baptistworldmission (dot) org .
Make sure you mention seeing this announcement.
By the way, I have seven children now ranging in age from 4 months to 13. My husband, Scott (a 1988 San Jacinto Grad), and I are missionaries to the country of Uruguay, South America.
God has been good to us, and He desires to bless you as well. Will you become His child today?
