Debra's Story
I moved from Hamburg, New York 26 years ago when I married Paul. We first lived in Stow, Ohio then relocated to Toledo when Paul took a new job. In Toledo our son Nicholas was born and he is now 23 years old. Nick graduated from Ohio Northern University last year and is now working for Cintas and is in a management training program. Nick played baseball while growing up, high school, college and continues. He is a great pitcher and Paul an I have spent many weekends traveling to see his teams play. ree in art education and taught for several years before having children.
Since moving to Toledo I have taught art at a Jewish Academy and at a Montessori school. I am now on my 20th year teaching at the Montessori Center and people there are like family. I also have part time job working for my church. I am the director of youth ministry for high school students. I have been in this position for 16 years and it is very rewarding.
I am back in the western New York area often. My grandchildren are very important to me and I want to share in their lives and see my girls.
My mom died suddenly 16 years ago, the day after I started my youth ministry job. My faith has helped me through tough times. My father remarried and moved back to his hometown of Munising, Michigan. I don't get to see him enough! My brothers and sister still live in the western New York area.
