Debra's Story
Well, I met my husband Ron when I worked at the District Attorney's Office. It will be 34 years of marriage on 9/9/12. Which is tomorrow! Ron was the first man to get custody of his 5 children in Milwaukee. Yes I took on 5 children ranging in ages 7-10. Now they are all in there 40's. Ron and I had a daughter together in 1989. Carley lives in NYC. She is enrolled in the Veterinarian program at Mercy College. Carley is engaged to a wonderful man Matthew who is in the process of getting his master's in Psychology. The 3 of us moved to NH in 1997 to be closer to my dad and step-mom. Ron took an early out and retired from Milwaukee County Park System. NH is ok, the sunsets/sunrises are beautiful. There are no sales tax or state tax, but beware when you register your car. Depending on it's age you'll pay out a few hundred or more yearly if it's newer. I have an older jeep "95", so I pay about 150. The population is quite low;...Expand for more
about 3 million. (That's in the whole state). I worked when I lived in Milwaukee for the State of Wisconsin, but I developed Crohn's Disease and couldn't work anymore. It's gotten much worse. So all in all my health sucks, but I try to keep an optimistic attitude most of the time. I can't really travel because I'm on IV fluids do to the lack of intestine. I only have about 5 feet left. The average person is supposed to have between 28-30 feet in all. So that gives you an idea of how lucky you are if you have most of yours left. Haha. Of course I've done many things in my life, but the most important job was raising all those kids and I'm still here to talk about it.
