Debra's Story
Probably don't remember me at all. I was very shy and quiet.
I always wanted to be a Teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were right.
Music, music, music, old and new love it all!
Was not a wild child, unlike my daughter. The worst thing I ever did was race a bunch of guys on Route 9 and Webster and to win, I blew a red light. Shocked the hell out of my passengers who did not think I had it in me. What can I say, I was 17.
My hero would be my son Nick. He struggled in High School until I was able to get him into Oxford High where his life became much better. He is now a Sergeant in the Marine Corps, has completed two tours of Iraq, has more ribbons than most his age, and did it all on his own.
I live in Newberry, Fl now as my Mom and Dad moved here. T...Expand for more
he cost of living and the quality of life is much, much, better here, but I am a Yankee living with Red Necks, I sound different when I talk, they pick up on it, call me a Damn Yankee in a kidding way, I think, and don't feel I fit in, although it is so true of what they say about Southern Hospitality. The people of the South are very nice. We swear (or as a Southerner will say "cuss" a lot more up North! I miss my roots in Mass but visit there once a year. Financially, I have done much better in Florida and it was good to get my kids in a College town and out of Webster where time stands still.
Will always be a Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins Fan. You can take me out of New England, but you can't take the New Englander out of me!
I love True Blood on HBO. A soap opera with Vampires and some really hot looking ones too!
