Dechontelle's Story
Life
Things have been great for me since Judson. I put myself through school at SWT and graduated 2001. I started work for Apple Computer as a front line agent at first, but now I am a Program Manager/Business Analyst. I have a great boyfriend named Shane, who had been my friend since 1999. He's perfect for me...smart, geeky, patient, and good-looking. We started officially dating Valentines day, 2004. I'm a real estate investor and agent here in Austin, but still work for Apple. I hope to start my own brokerage and keep on investing. Real estate is where I want to be because it's exciting, lucrative, and constantly changing.
College
It took a while to graduate from SWT. I met some great people and miss my friends, who all moved away and we lost touch. I miss Tameka, Terronica, Regina, and Kimberly. Everyone is getting married now. I had a great relationship with Corey for a long time and it ended in ...Expand for more
2000. I knows he's ok and we'll always care about each other. I have a hard time keeping up with people, but it's all a matter of growing up and valuing friendships.
I'm planning to get my Executive MBA at UT while continuing my job at Apple Computer as a Program Manager/Business Analyst. It will take 2 years to get the degree. Classes are every other Friday and Saturday from 8a-5pm.
Workplace
I worked at KFC in San Antonio my first year in school, but then started working at NordicTrack in the outlet mall my sophomore year in 1996. I stayed there until NordicTrack closed their doors. I decided I wanted to do computer law, so went to work for Apple in 1998 as a technical support agent. I learned a lot and quickly moved up. I became a manager in 1999 and then a business analyst in 2000. I've been doing the program management/business analyst thing since then. It's very flexible and I have a great job!
