Self-controlled like a tyrant not even hearing my own painful screams for mercy. Creative at keeping and making rules to live by. All of my self-made virtues were poisonous counterfeits of the real gifts God has given me for life and godliness.
Reality began with a cry to God for help,
Then confession of my sin and utter helplessness.
Next came consent to allow God to transform me by working in me, on me, and through me.
Now...
My dream is heaven.
My hope is Jesus Christ.
My goal is to live this moment for God's glory!
A cry of freedom is heard! My eyes full of the son, now, I can live a life of love with an open heart that gives and receives love. I can share with others and receive God's grace through others in a balanced and healthy way. I can know God and discern the truth through His Spirit actively showing me each step. I have been freed to take care of what matters most, to choose my habits wisely and live in God's strength. I can trust God for wisdom to make each choice a good one and to praise Him with my life.
