Dee's Story
I dropped out in April of my senior year because I got pregnant. Lost the baby, but got married anyway. Took my GED later that year, and at that time had the highest score ever in the State of Illinois. I did go on to get my Associates from Spoon. I have taken some classes at ICC, and then graduated from Carl Sandburg College with a degree in Rad Tech.
I had two children with my first husband, and lost another baby at 20 weeks gestation.
We moved to Chicago for a year, then back to Canton, then to Georgia for six years. Came home to Canton in 1991, and have been here ever since.
Got divorced from husband number 1. I stayed single for eight years and hated every minute of it. I found an older man, got married again,...Expand for more
and now we have a eighteen year old. Actually, my daughter-in-law and I were pregnant for some of the same time. I also lost a baby in December '05. I have seven grandkids (three by marriage), two of which are older than my youngest child.
Right now I am working as an ultrasound tech at Mason District Hospital in Havana.
Anyway, would love to hear from anyone out there that I went to school with. I realize now that I was not such a great person in high school, and would love to be able to go back and change that, but we are who we are. I am definitely not the same person I was then. If I had it to do all over again, I would be a nicer person. To everyone out there that I ever hurt, please accept my sincere apologies.
