Deirdre's Story
Life
After high school, I worked at the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) from November 1964, till May 1967. In August of that same year, I married my first husband, Bill Menendez. During the course of our marriage (13 years), we had 2 children, A son William (now 34 1/2), and a daughter Jennifer (now 31). that I was a contestant on the game show "Shoot for the Stars" in 1978. I did quite well on the show, but fame is fleeting, and I'm sure not many remember there was a game show with that name. My son is now a NYC Policeman who lives in NYC, and my daughter just married in May and lives in North Carolina. My husband Joe and I enjoy traveling and adore going on cruises. He recently retired after 39 years with the Telephone company, and I am also retired.
