Deirdre's Story

I am Deirdre Parker Hayden. I am a widow and the mother of four children: Frank Harris, Jr. (19), Xianszelle Hayden (13), DaVida Hayden (12) and Bianca Alcena (7). I currently work as a teacher in the areas of English, Computer Applications, Art, and Journalism at Edward Bell School in Camp Hill, AL. Bachelors in English. I went on to Alabama State University where I received a MAsters degree in English/Language Arts Education with a 4.0 GPA. I have served as the President of the NAACP for 4 years in Tuskegee/Macon County where I work tirelessy to help all people advance socially, economically, and politically. I use my skills as an educator in the following capacities: mentor, motivational speaker, camp counselor, teacher leader, etc.
