Delana's Story
Life
Hey Classmates!
I have 3 wonderful teenage/preteen sons, and we are in the process of adopting a daughter. I have lived overseas for the last 8 years, in three different countries (in Central Asia and the Middle East). I have had poetry and stories published in magazines and books. I love to write (just as I did back then--thanks to Scott Thompson and Gay Hall for all their encouragement). I consult with and train families who are educating their children overseas (in International and National Schools--as well as homeschools). My husband found this website and signed me up! (Thanks, sweetheart).
I am passionate about writing and teaching and raising my children, but I am most passionate about my love for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Blessings to you all!

ld do whatever I wanted to do with my life. I don't think anyone would want to do school all over again, but if I had to --I think I would be less shy and have a better self-esteem. I wouldn't let my sisters and their friends dictate whether or not I was a worthy person to be around. I would be careful to encourage those who others think are geeks, realizing they may be struggling with something like Asperger's Syndrome. I wouldn't tie myself down to a relationship, realizing that I could have a good time being a friend to many people and not so caught up with spending time with someone I thought was "the right one."
College
I went to Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX. My roommate was Vanise. We had a lot in common. My major was Elementary Education with Reading specialty. My favorite teacher was Linda Ward. I met my husband during my first year and we were married before the second year began. A Taft classmate took my engagement photos for the newspaper. Mrs. Cain, Taft Librarian, came to my wedding, as did some of my classmates.
