Delena's Story
Life
I live in Virginia currently and I now have a son. He was born April 1, 2002, yes April Fool's Day. As most of you know, I married during my SR year. We are doing wonderfully and our son is our pride and joy. We are also proud to announce we're expecting #2, another boy! Feel free to email me, any one of you, I have no problems with that at all. For those of who that knew I was adopted, I have recently found my birth mother. It turns out I have one older sister that lives about 5 hours from me in North Carolina and 2 younger brothers and 3 younger sisters. We're all pretty close in age. Well, I just wanted to share that with you.
School
As most of you know I didn't go to our SR prom b/c I was in Florida at the time. Sometimes I wish I had gone with Robert had he been able to make it home.. other times I wouldn't change a thing... I also didn't walk for graduation, I don't think I regret it that much, I heard it was hot that day, haha. And I just want to say R.I.P Ryan Usie... God Bless!
Military
This isn't my biography per say. Robert joined in 1999 right before my jr yr ended in high school. That summer he graduated from boot camp where he proceeded to propose so we then got married right before I graduated from South Terrebonne. We were married in December and I graduated in Jan. Then it was off to San Diego after he was stationed ther...Expand for more
e. We didn't want to be apart so I flew out there for 2 months until we moved to Florida where we lived for almost 3 years. We had our little boy there in April of 2002. He served on a Destroyer there and did 2 deployments. He was gone all the time though. Such is life as a navy wife I guess. Now we are in Virginia where he is teaching school to younger kids on how to do what he does. By the way, he works with a lot of ammunition and the 5" barrel guns you see on many of today's ships. A lot of our friends we made in Florida are all transferring to around here as well so it's nice to know people in new places. Our best friends moved up here at the same time. Robert and the other guy transferred off the ship together and up here. They work at 2 different places but his wife and I are always out spending money!! HAHA. Anyways, we will be here for atleast 3 years which I will enjoy tremendously due to the amount of time he'll be home. Also, we are going to try to have another little one at some point in time while here. I am currently working from my home doing pharmacy sells and recruiting. And I just started bartending at a restaurant close to our house. Hey it helps pay bills. I plan to get back into my career when we move again, hopefully back to Jacksonville, and that might be in 2006. Anyways, I guess that's about it on the military side of things.
