School
In high school I was way too shy! I always thought that I wasn't pretty enough and that the guys wouldn't like me...but I later posed for Penthouse! I now realize that it was not my looks, but my timid personality, or lack of one, that kept the boys at bay! I have two degrees that I don't even use in my profession. I have been in real estate in Simi Valley, CA for 30 years. I love it!!
College
I guess everyone was using drugs in those days (60's), but I didn't realize it until much later. Most people think that I'm making it up...but I didn't even know what drugs looked like! ike it. I got my real estate license in 1977 and have been selling real estate for 31 years. So much for my degrees!
Workplace
My first jobs were waitressing at upscale L.A. restaurants. I made very good money at that, but knew that as I grew older that the tips would dry up and the really good restaurants would not hire older women. I loved looking at model homes and loved decorating even more...so I decided that real estate might be the ticket! Well, now I'm into my 31st year of selling homes in Simi Valley, CA and I couldn't be happier! The money is great, and guess what? I actually look forward to going work every day! What more could you ask for? The big bonus... it also allows for more time with my family.
