Della's Story
I was an extremely shy teenager and I still do not like to be the center of attention. I got married in 1975 to the love of my life and we had 2 daughters, Sharon & Amanda. We have 4 grandchildren, 23, 16, 12, & 5 years old.. We now have a great grandson. He is 17 months old now.
My oldest grandson teaches 9th & 10th grade English at Martinsville HS. We are very proud of him.
I became disabled in 2012 and could no longer work. I am totally deaf in my right ear and Arthritis is getting the best of...Expand for more
me. Needless to say, I don't move very well anymore.
I worked in a psychiatrists office for 5 years until he left town and I did his transcription. I worked for Sam's Club for a while, but I couldn't do what they wanted me to.
I graduated from DCC in 2000, Magna Cum Laude. I was very proud of myself and I had worked very hard for that distinction.You know what they say, "better late than never"!
I do puzzles, dot to dot books, I like to read and I also do cross-stitch.
