Delmar's Story
After graduation I went to work for Mac Engineering in the machine shop. After a year of that I went to Lake Michigan College for 2 years.
I then joined the Benton Harbor City Police Department and worked there until 1980.
I left the city in 1980 and went to the Benton Township Police Department. I retired on 12-31-2012 with the rank Detective Lieutenant; I supervised the investigations division for 16 years. It was a great career and I would do it again.
In 1974 I married Lynn Ziemer from Stevensville. Lynn works for the Berrien County prosecutor and she is retiring next week. Both of our children are married and we have 2 grandchildren.

amily pets.
All of our traveling has been in the USA, but that will change now that we are retired.

Update 5-29-2016: Well, after about 6 weeks of retirement, my wife announced she didn't like being retired, so she went back to work part time for our local police department. She really enjoys the work and I have half a day for myself, the grand kids and the dog. When people ask me about retirement, I tell everyone the same thing: it gets better everyday!
