Den's Story
Dodged Vietnam. Don't regret that then, or today. Got married. Moved to Grand Rapids, MI. Got a BA degree in Psychology, some Masters level work. Have worked in a major psychiatric facility here for 29 years. Have 2 kids, both graduates of University of Michigan.
Let's see. One of the questions they suggest is which teacher would you love to see again? Are you kidding? I seem to remember being slapped in the face by a teacher for whispering. Got whacked hard on my ass with a paddle by a shop teacher and having my head almost disfigured b/c a teacher threw a bean bag at another kid for talking out of turn. Not to mention being exposed to some incredibly disturbed misfits that passed as teachers. I have a memory of one of them. The kids were throwing pennies at him in class. d disciplining us, he just got down on his hands and knees picking them up and keeping them, taunting us and thinking he was teaching us a lesson. :-)
By today's standards we call that "child abuse". Got to love the Detroit Public School system. LOL.
And compared to today, I guess those were the good old days :-)
Regarding Classmates, since I am too cheap to pay the "Golden Membership" to find out who visited my site, and most of you are too cheap to do the same, I thought I would give my internet address out..but the Classmates police make sure you can't do that. They hide my story with an email address. Brings the 60s rebellion out in me. What an oppressive, totalitarian system :-) Anyways, I am on AOL with 'topgeardel' as my name. If you can't figure out how to put it together, Osborn did you a hell of a lot of good...lol.
