Dena's Story
In high school I was one of those girls no one noticed.. played in the band, ran cc/track but pretty much kept to myself. I dropped out my senoir year to have a child who will be 16 in september.. but went back in 1994 to get my diploma and graduated in Ga where I have been living for the past 15 years. I was married for 12 years but have been divorced for 3 now. I have 2 children, the other being 8.
for the past ten years I have done a little of everything.. including managed a hotel, worked on a race car team, numerous fast food and restaurant management jobs, and substitued in the local school systems. Most recently I have been helping to managing a multimillion dollar trucking company and have started another company. i ran my own freight brokerage for a while as well. currantly I am doing my first love of training horses. riding in my profile is my 3 yr old TN Walker that I broke and trained myself. My partner and I also have 2 regidtered Quarter horse mares, 1 thourobred gelding,4 paso finos, 1 mustang and 1 Fl cracker horse.
I own my own house (not the bank!) While I am not well off I am also not destitute, i just have to struggle like everyone else to pay the bills.
Being a parent has hsown me that the curse of yourself always comes back to haunt you! My daughter (the 16yr old) looks,walks and talks just like me. It is a new version of TiVo. hit rewind and there I am! My son looks like me and is quickly learning what not to do from his sister. But amazingly enough I learned the art of forgivness from him and the meaning of angels..
I didn't find the everlasting love that every woman dreams of in my marriage but I did find that blessings come in small packages.
