Denise's Story
My grandson, Braxton Levi, made his grand entrance into the world on December 5, 2008. He weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. He is an absolute doll baby!!!
It's official! I am a newlywed! Kim and I got married on October 24, 2008!
Well, it's been one helluva quarter century!!! But, I sure have plenty to show for and plenty to be proud of!!!
I have 2 wonderful and loving children, Bethany who will turn 22 on January 2nd (2008) and Jonathan who will be 18 on July 7th (2008). Bethany is currently doing medical coding at a home medical supply store in Marion and Jonathan is a senior at good ol' Goreville High School. He has played basketball since he was in the 4th grade and I really enjoy going to the games. I'll miss them when he graduates!
I am engaged to a wonderful man named Kim. He is the love of my life and we have been together for five years now. We got engaged last Dec. 2nd (2006) No date set as of yet. We aren't in any hurry and when the time is right, we'll know it! We enjoy traveling and long weekends. He is an electrician and is currently working on the road out of the union hall. I'm currently working at Addus Home Health in Marion, IL. My title is Clinical Support Coordinator. I absolutely love my job!
I live in the country about 2 miles southwest of West Frankfort. We have our house up for sale so we can move back to Goreville. This is our 2nd new custom built home that Kim designed for us. In his lifetime he has custom designed about 18 homes for himself.

didn't know about me:
1.) I bought a brand spankin' new Harley Sportster in '99 but sold it 5 years later when I lost the job that I had. Maybe someday I'll have a brand spankin' new Harley Low Rider! I love to ride! But, put me behind someone else and I sure am a terrible back seat rider! I guess that I want to be in control! Imagine that!! lol
Kim sold his last Harley that he had this past Feb. He's had 3 new Harleys in the last 5 years. We have stopped riding at the moment but it can all change in the blink of an eye!! Never know about us and what we'll do! We would like to buy a boat and just be lazy out on the water!!!
2.) I have a tattoo! Now, who would have "thunk" it??? Certainly not me!!! If you had told me years ago that I would have owned a Harley and or had a tattoo I would have told you that you were out of your mind!!!! Times and people they do a'change!
3.) We owned a bar in West Frankfort until October of last year. We bought a pre-existing site of a bar, remodeled it and re-named it Bootleggers' Saloon. I managed it and we decided to sell it when we decided to move back to Goreville. We put the house and the bar up for sale at the same time and the bar sold in about 3 weeks and we are still trying to sell the house!!! Go figure! We thought it would be the other way around!
Well, so far that's all I can think of to write about!
I hope you enjoyed reading it and getting to know me again after a quarter of a century! Are we getting old or what?!?
