Denise's Story
While in the throes of raising a "headstrong" 15-yr old boy, I was recently reminded of what I was doing at 15 when I spent an afternoon with some old friends who knew me when (who shall all remain nameless). My husband was appalled <grin> at the alleged wild side. That's the fun thing about reunions. As we are trying our damndest to be holier-than-thou and raising our kids with that "I never did that when I was a teenager" kind of stuff .... well, talking with all my old friends puts things in a little different perspective. Perhaps I can learn some tolerance. It gives me hope that if I could get through some of the dumb crap that we used to do, well ... perhaps some day my 15-year old will get a clue.
I still stay in touch with Gail Haynes (Blazer) ... and Gail, I miss the once a year girl weekends ... we have to start doing that again. We used to see Steve Holland every once in a while ... but he's disappeared since he got married a few years back. Where are you Stephen? And although he didn't graduate with us, I still consider Tim Noell to be a dear friend, and hope to talk him into accompanying me to the reunion.

te for the last 15 years to be working from home providing Administrative and Bookkeeping service to a Landscape Designer, who works from his home in DC. Works out wonderfully! My husband has been a hobby lapidist (rocks ... collecting, cutting, etc.) for most of his life, and he and I recently began a jewelry business called Ashby's Agates. He does the lapidary work, I do the jewelry design. It's a lot of fun, and we get to write off our trips out west collecting rocks! Who knew??!!
We love to travel .. mostly west. Love concerts .. all kinds of music. Discovered the strong singer/songwriter music scene in Austin recently ... definitely recommend it to anyone who loves to explore music. We'll even do a concert with the teenagers occassionally (although I leave the mosh pit business to Dad ... I'm too old for that crap!).
Could think of lots more. I've been accused of being a 'woman of many words' . Oh well. But now that I've signed up ... I'm going to go and dig out some old photo albums and see if I can figure out how to get some funny photos onto this site. Not many photos posted ... need to get that started!
Will see you all at the reunion.
