Denise's Story
Life
My life biography??? This will be short!!! Born and raised in Northern California. Graduated from San Marin High in 1981 and started working right away at Novato Community Hospital. I worked the good part of 21 years there. I got married and we had two daughters. After 7 years, we divorced. Being a single mom took a toll on my wallet, so I decided to move to a place where my dollar could go farther. Last year, I packed up me and the girls and moved to New Mexico. I have some family here and decided to try it out. I LOVE IT! It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The hardest part of this move was learning to spell "Albuquerque". It is so much more affordable and it's beautiful out here. My children get to experience all four seasons. Ok, so we don't have the coast.... but I can always go visit (I've already been back to visit 3 times...Expand for more
). My daughters are now 7 and 8 years old and have adapted very well to New Mexico. I have a job that allows me to work at home (I'm a medical transcriptionist), I have a big house for the same price I paid for a tiny, tiny apartment in Petaluma and I live close to the malls. What more could you ask for? I'd love to hear from anyone who graduated in my class. It's always interesting to see where people have ended up and how they're doing. I have the gift to gab..... so don't be shy.
Workplace
I am a Radiology/Medical Transcriptionist. I work out of my home, which is a huge blessing being that I'm a single mom. It's a rewarding job in that I help patients get their results quickly. Also, it's kind of fun learning a thing or two as I go along. I would prefer to be doing something outside, but life doesn't permit that just yet. Maybe in a few years....
