Denise's Story
I was a member of the Mission High Drill Team and also a Member of JROTC. I was very quiet back then. I left Mission to go to the Los Angeles Job Corps where I was trained to be a clerk Typist. Later I joined the Air Force National Guard, After Basic Training I returned to the Bay Area, I learned my Skills and Training in Hayward at the Guard Base located there. I was trained as a Administrative Specialist. After a while, I wanted more out of life.
I got Married. I decided to return to school I went to California Pacific College, I Graduated and became a Medical Assistant, but I still needed more out of my life. I went to work at the US Assay Office. Later I got Divorced. Then returned to School while still working. Moved to Ohio to attend sch...Expand for more
ool, was too cold, returned to the Bay Area, found another job and continued to go to school. I have Education Skills and Training in Medical, Nursing & Manufacturing.
I enjoy learning and reading. Today I work as a Metal Forming Machine Operator at the US Mint. I have worked there for many years. From my many years of working at the SF Mint, I have met many interesting people and I have continued to learn and teach others some of what I have learned about this life.
I hope and pray that I have touched others with my knowledge and skills about life and what we can look forward to our future. Much love and Many blessings. I know that tomorrow is not promised but I try and live each day to the fullest because we only have one life. I enjoy life.
