Denise's Story
God, where to begin, I moved to North Carolina on my 20th Birthday. I had to get away from Fulton, sorry but it is not that great of a place. I met and married my husband 27 years ago. We have 3 terrific kids, 2 daughters 20 & 18, and a son 11. We are plain country folk, that love to camp, fish, golf, and anything the kids are involved in. I am a very involved cub scout mom, I do all that I can so that my son can be the best person that he can be. Times are too hard, even in North Carolina to leave your child to his own vises. He wants to be the next Arnold Palmer. We travel to the mountains and beach every chance we get. We especially love the Outer Banks.
I work in textiles, I plan and organize maintenance crews, I basically get to tell men what to do all day. I also maintain and train people on how to use several computer systems. Can't say that life has always been perfect, but who's is. I lost my brother in a car wreck 9 years ago, and it was the hardest thing I've had to live with. As I get older I think back to the times when I was in school and how different times were for us, then they are for my kids. I remember soooo many good times with Veronica, Elaine, Roxanne, Sherry, Willa, Paula, Jane, and Penny. I s...Expand for more
aw Roxanne when I came to Fulton for my grandmothers funeral, we had a nice visit. Truly I do not ever want to go back to New York, but I would love to hear from old friends.
2009 update - Since the last entry, the plant I worked for - closed. Alot of people lost their jobs. We were approved for trade, since the reason we lost our jobs was due to foreign trade and jobs going overseas. I am currently going to school for my degree. My daughters are both going to college, my oldest is doing a double major in business and accounting, my newest high school grad is a talented writer and wants to go into film. She wants to write, create, and design. My son is still an active cub scout and loves sports, most especially golf.
I thought about going to the reunion since it is between semesters, but I decided not to. I have way too much going on with my family right now from Tonya's college orientation and getting her ready to move to school, and Earley's Webelos camp, and my oldest Amy transferring to schol in Virginia to stop what I'm doing and go to New York. I would love to see some of my old friends, but Fulton hasn't been a part of my life for a long time. Any of my friends that wish to contact me may contact me via e-mail.
