Denise's Story
Life
Living my dream, walking distance to the surf with a stupendous husband & 1 crazy cat AKA Coco Loco and/or Lump in the Bed, in an awesome 1965 mid-century modern house in need of a new roof. 2 beautiful step-daughters and 2 adorable & brilliant grandchildren. And since daughter #2 was married in Brooklyn last weekend, I am now a Mother in Law to two great guys.
Have spent time as a waitress, bookkeeper, marketing project manager, graphic designer, interior designer, ski bum (wasn't very good at that one) and lifelong student. At one point in my Ski Bum career I dressed up as a life-size Twinkie and handed out Hostess goodies at the PX at Hill AirForce Base in Utah. This past month I was released from my duties of Caregiver to Michael's mom, when she passed away at age 86. So now I'm looking for good ideas for things I can add to my resume next.

dy, and I don't need to try out for President. I'm thinking something like Solar Energy Advocate, Chief Dot Connector, Buddhist Monkey, or Goddess of Fun. Too bad Chief Yahoo is already taken. I welcome your ideas.
I'm a member of Soroptimists International of Huntington Beach, Kiwanis, Auslich Ski Club, Jack Canfield's Platinum Mentoring program and HUB (Humanity Unites Brilliance).
Anyone who may have been on our class trip in the Bahamas in 71, may be surprised to know that I am now also a certified diver. Next up is Surf Queen. Wish me luck, I still can't swim.
What I am still amazed at is the number of people I have met in my travels, or who continue to cross my path here in California, that have lived in Michigan at some point in their lives. It must be required on the path to Nirvana, because I can't imagine that many people having actually lived there all at once. It's like half the population of the world.
