Denise's Story
Denise's schools include Arlington High School. Denise later attended Texas Christian University (Journalism/French) .
I came to Texas after high school and never really left. I married a Ft. Worth native and we stayed in the DFW area until we retired to Holly Lake Ranch in East Texas in 2018. We have four children (2 his, 2 ours) and four grandchildren from our oldest two.
My career was Advertising/PR/Marketing until we had our children. I was fortunate to stay home and raise the family. When the kids got to middle school, I finally started using my French as a substitute teacher. (Not...Expand for more
too many French-speaking subs in Texas.)
Our new community is great -- lakes, golf, and other amenities that we enjoy. Plus we are close enough to Dallas to see our three kids who still live there. The oldest son and his 3 boys live in Seattle, as does our only granddaughter (she's older than the kids I gave birth to!)
I had breast cancer in 1997, and a lung metastasis in 2000. But I've been cancer-free since then, thanks to wonderful doctors in Plano and Dallas, and at M.D. Anderson in Houston. And of course, thanks to my supportive family and network of great friends, and lots of prayer.
