Dennis's Story
After high school I joined the Air Force. I have lived all over this world, from Guam to the Phillipines, Vietnam, Thailand, and then over to Europe. First was Rhein Mein, Germany, and then to RAF Milldenhall, England, where I met a Beautiful Brit, in 1982, and was married in 1985. I have two wonderful sons Luke and Lance. Luke is living with the good Lord and Lance is living with me. Unfortunately and statisticly in America 85% of all couples that lose a child between them end in divorce. I'm am a statistic, yet I am very lucky to have my son. His is 16 years old going on 30. I thought I knew everything at 18, but he has beaten me by 2 years. He is the top music student at Winnisquam High School. He plays 5 instruments and sings. His was the only student from his school to make all-state in 2007 and 2008 in over ten years. from San Antonio, Texas, in 1999 when he was just seven years old, so he could grow up around family as they all live on the lake and we are just next door to each other. It was the right move for my son, as he grew up with loads of love and discipline as I was also a Drill Sergant at Lackland Air Force Base. I was able to by the last lot on the lake and build ourselves a nice home by the water. My son is now considering joining the Air Force with a goal of playing for the Presidental Air Force Band. I am beginning to feel that empty nester thing. However, if things work out, I'm headed back to San Antonio, Texas. I have lived there for a total of 13 years and I miss it. For those of you who have been there, I'm sure you'll understand why. I hope ya'all have had great exciting lives, and maybe one day our paths will cross one day. God Bless.
