Dennis's Story
My Job
After college, I worked for a couple of years in our family Title company. In 1973, I moved to Seattle to work for the FAA as an electronic engineer. In 1986, I transferred to Los Angeles (to be closer to home) to continue working for the FAA.
1n 1992, my mother got sick so I moved back to Hanford. In 1997, I quit the FAA to take over the family title company.
I sold the business in 2004. After about a year of unemployment, I went back to work for the FAA in Bakersfield as an electronic technician.

ing up the miles on my car. I had a 2002 Honda Insight CVT (hybrid) that was getting about 55 MPG. I traded it in on a 2006 Honda Civic (hybrid) for a more comfortable ride. Its got about 46 MPG, not as good as the Insight, but still kept my drive affordable. I wanted more room and 4 wheel drive, so I bougt a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid. I only gets about 29 MPG, but its more comfortable to drive.
My Spare Time
I volunteer with the Hanford Police Department (Citizens on Patrol) to help patrol the streets, schools and parks. I average 60 to 80 hours per month.
