Dennis's Story
I received my microbiology degree from ISU. I worked for twenty years in medical centers as a medical microbiologist.
In 1994 I received my position of microbiologist at the Des Moines Water Works. There I oversaw the microbiology laboratory where I performed a variety of applied science, and administrative work. In addition, I performed self-guided research relating to water treatment effectiveness and method improvements. l tour groups and international tour groups. I wrote a small book on basic microbiology for the drinking water industry, which is in its third edition and is sold internationally.
My first wife and I divorced, and I have married Elena from Russia, who is a wonderful wife. My son has graduated from ISU.
I engage in air-brush and oil painting, and enjoy writing. I have written two novels and a book of philosophy of which I self-published. I have also self-published other books of my art and poetry, scientific philosophies, etc.
I am now retired and engage in writing, gardening, traveling, and wood-working.
