Dennis's Story
Dennis' schools include George Washington High School, Warren High School, Brigham Young University, Thomas Jefferson Law School, University of Washington. Dennis is president of Fiduciary Services International, Adjunct Professor at Utah Valley University and LDS Business College, and a lecturer at the Brigham Young University Law School.
Dennis Hoagland, JD, ,CTFA, CSA, is a Consultant and Expert Witness in Fiduciary Matters. Dennis has served in the trust and estate planning industry as a Senior & Executive Officer for several trust companies and a private trustee/entrepreneur. He is also an Adjunct professor at Utah Valley University, and LDS Business College.
Dennis holds a Baccalaureate degree from Brigham Young University, a Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law where he was on a Bank of America, A. P. Gianini Legal Studies Scholarship. He is also a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washingtonâs Graduate School of Business, where his theses was entitled âCalifornia Community Property a Matter of Judicial Precedentâ. He was a charter recipient of the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor certification, is a Certified Senior Advisor, and holds a series 65 securities license.

mber and officer of a number of local and state Estate and Probate Bar Sections, member and officer of a number of charitable and community organizations, he has been a candidate for the Utah State Legislature and he has served as an Expert Witness in Estate and Trust matters. As an Adjunct Professor at Utah Valley University he teaches Business Law, Wills/Trusts and Estates Law, and Constitutional Law. As an Adjunct Professor at LDS Business College he teaches and lectures in Business Law, and has taught Economics, Marketing, Business Management, Business Finance, International Business and Entrepreneurialism. He has lectured at the Brigham Young Universityâs J. Reuben Clark Law School on âthe Unorthodox Practice of Lawâ including discussions on Entrepreneurialism, Business Start-ups, Business Turn-arounds, Business Law and Fiduciary Practices. Dennis has also written extensively in the areas of wills, trusts, estate planning, estate tax and fiduciary matters.
Dennis is married (46 years) to the former Mary Ellen Hales, JD, Ph. D., Asst. Dean of the BYU Law School; They are the proud parents of Jason Hoagland, MD, Jonathan Hoagland, JD, LLM and David Hoagland, MS Engineering. Dennis and Mary are also the proud grand-parents of 14 very fun and talented grand-children, all of whom live within 45 minutes of their family home in Provo, Utah.
