Dennis's Story
Hi Everyone,
I live with my wife, Leslie (Drake) Martin, in Frederick, Maryland. We will be married 30 years on April 8th. We have 2 children (both married), and 2 grandchildren (not married). Our children's names are Jamie and Sarah. Both grandchildren, Brendan (7) and Kelsey (3) are Jamie's. Sarah got married in October. They are both happy.
Like any marriage, Leslie and I have our ups, flat spots, and downs. I'll let the 30 years speak for itself. We are each others best friends most of the time. I want to move back to Columbus but that won't happen with those grandchildren up here.
It's hard to write to you all. I never knew how great it was back in the day. There are so many miles and smiles that have passed since 1975. I suffered some terrible losses and have enjoyed some really great blessings. For those of you who knew me way back when...Expand for more
, I still write poetry, put music to the poems, play my guitars, and sing my heart out. Oh, I was a bit wild in my wild time but over the years I would have to say I've mellowed and landed firmly on the side of being a romantic; always dreaming of how great it is to fall in love and to be loved back. "But now remain these three, faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." I agree.
I would love to hear from all ya'll, but I know that's asking too much. I just found this site yesterday.
