Dennis's Story
Life Moved from Howell, MI to New Port Richey, FL in 1973. Had five years active duty Air Force after school, worked in healthcare running kitchens, then IS, then COO for 16 years, now CIO of a small healthcare company specializing in Assisted Living Facilities. Workplace I started out running kitchens in hospitals after the military, but developed my interest in computers into an opportunity to move into a more administrative role. IO in a small healthcare company in which I'm a principal owner, with two friends I've worked with for almost 20 years. Military When I enlisted in the Air Force I took the advice of a few co-workers who told to make sure I had a guaranteed job; otherwise I'd end up a cop or a cook. So I outfoxed the Air Force: I volunteered to be a cook. One of the best decisions I ever made. Have risen to E-9 (I'm a Chief!) in the Reserves and will probably retire -- after seeing the world -- in 2005. UPDATE: retired from the AF Reserves in 2005. All the rest is the same!
