Dennis's Story
Life
OK, so here's my life bio. I grew up in upstate NY and after messing up my first attempt at College, I left home to join the army at the age of 21. I ended up in Central California and after my three years in the army was up, I moved to Santa Barbara, where I finished college in 1990. While in college, I became an RA, which led to me becoming interested in student housing and from there, I began a career in the privitized student housing industry. Since then I've lived in Austin,Texas; Chico, California; Santa Barbara,CA; Portland, Oregon and now I'm in Irvine, California "The OC." I manage a huge nationally recognized student housing community on the UC Irvine Campus.
On a personal note, I've continued to write and play music during this entire period, releasing several independant cd's both as a solo singer-songwriter and as a member of various bands. I had a little bit of success with that, but not enough to quit my day job...ha ha ha. I'm still single (surprise, surprise) and continue to search for Ms. Right...which is sometimes fun and sometimes sad, depending on the day of the week. I have injured both knees on multiple occasions...Expand for more
, so I don't play much basketball anymore, but I still love to warch sports. I read and watch films religiously. I have a fifteen year old cat named "Bubby" who I continue to be crazy about. My sister Elizabeth is married with two beautiful children, so I'm an uncle and think that's really cool...my parents are retired and living in Cape Cod and my two sisters live in Kingston and Woodstock respectively. I get back East maybe once a year for a week...
What else? I still have a sarcastic sense of humor and I don't hardly drink at all anymore, which is a good thing for those who knew me when I did...lol. I'm addicted to the TV show "The Office" and am a moderate Democrat. I miss many of the cool people I met growing up in NY and wish I had been better with keeping in touch with people and that I hadn't been such an a-hole in high school. OK, that's it for now. I need to figure out how to post photos on here. Although I know how to make music on my laptop, I'm still a luddite in many ways when it comes to uploading photos...
If you check this bio out and remember me, send me a message, cos' it always makes my day.
