Dennis's Story
I joined US Navy 1968 at 18, as Radio Communications Tech. First served NavComsta Morocco Africa, then ComSubron 12 Key West Florida. Honorable discharged 1971, returned to Utica, Michigan. Attended Macomb County Community College, then Oakland University. Married Catherine Toth June 1972. Moved to Miami Florida December 1973. Employed with Southern Bell Telephone, then Department of Interior, US Geological Survey (USGS) Water Resources Miami Florida, 7 1/2 years working throughout Florida, Florida Keys, Everglades collecting water quality data. Attended Florida International University, Miami, Florida.. Ran Scuba dive trips in Florida, Florida Keys and Grand Cayman BWI. Retired from USGS in 1981 and began Inter-Island Cargo business between Cayman Brac and Little Cayman BWI. Relocated to Longwood Florida 1989 and began careers in banking and Insurance. Retired 2001. Currently reside Longwood Florida where I met and married the lovely Jeannie L Dahlgren 2003. Currently CEO of Private investment company.

ith me. The pictures and notes are a result of recently going through old pictures and memorabilia. Both are out of time-line-sequence, but maybe I'll work at better organizing them some day.
My adventures allowed me experiences from pure euphoria to complete terror. Experiencing relationships spanning love and trust to lies and deceit. Living in foolish pride to complete humility. I have a far better understanding of the beauty and treasure of good over the destruction of evil. Life is a one time chance to show your worth or offer your destructive behavior. When memory reminiscing with friends, they often say, "Dennis" you've got to write a book on your adventures; maybe I will... maybe I should.
Sharing our stories should be just a friendly meeting, not a bragging rights contest, just a shared conversation of the blessing our life's achievements have rewarded us with, and the punishments and destruction of our prideful and selfish choices.
I'm just a south Detroit born city boy who never gave up, and got to live his dreams of adventure for real... It would be great to hear stories from you.. don't stop believing in your dreams.. Looking forward to hearing from you..
