Dennis's Story

After HS, went to Jr College for electronics graduating in 1970. Did my service time, 2 years active duty in the Philippines. Had a couple of factory service jobs before starting with Caterpillar as an electrician in 1976. When Cat announced they were closing the Davenport plant, I went back to college and received my BA in Business from Mary Crest college in 1989. Started working for Shive-Hattery Engineers and was there for 9 years. I missed the hands on of fixing machines so I went to work for John Deere in...Expand for more
1998. I retired for Deere 4/2011. Just doing part time work now. I've been married to my wife Linda since 11/1971. We have two children Ryan, EMT with Medic and planning to get his paramedic and Megan, CNA at a nursing home and planning to get her RN starting this fall. We also have 4 grandchildren, Andrea and Arik (Ryan) and Hudson and Aidan (Megan). We bought into a time share several years ago and have used it a number of times to vacation. Hawaii seems to be a the popular place having been there 4 times.

If anyone is looking for something to do Saturday evening. This event is open to anyone owning a special car or truck. Colors will be presented by the North High School ROTC around 6. Hope to see you there.
How I spent part of Veterans Day. Bettendorf Veterans Memorial Park.
House getting new roof last Thursday. Arrived at 8 am, striped old roof, done with new steel roof and gone by 4 pm. Five guys worked together.
