Dennis's Story
Hi everyone, yes it is me , I have actually survived to the ripe old age of 57. It wasn't easy and here's my story................
3 days after graduation i was in the army. Went to bootcamp in Fort Cambell, Ky; to medic training in San Antonio, Tx then on to the glorious tropical setting of Vietnam for 18 month. Over the next 18 years uncle sam sent me to Germany twice, back to Texas,South Carolina, Washington DC and finally to Denver Colorado where I greatfully retired in 1989 from the army after 20years.
By the way during all the fun and games with uncle sam I happen to meet the most beautiful girl with a heart of gold who seen something inside of the rough exterior of this man. Not being totally brain dead from the army I married her 23 days later. She still puts up with me 36 years later. We have 2 sons, Jeremy our oldest lives in MA. and his wife is expecting their 1st child the last part of april 09, our younest son Brian lives in TX. with his wife, son (5) & daughter (7mo).
Since I retired from the army in 1989 we moved to MA where we lived until 2001 when we moved to Florida. Built my wife her dream home on a wide saltwater canal with access to the G...Expand for more
ulf of Mexico. My wife is a high school math teacher and myself a nurse. I do what is called per-diem so i work when i want to. I do 12 hour shifts (7P-7A) I set my work schedule around our social schedule, taking lots of time off in the summer when my wife is not teaching.
Our hobbies, spending time with friends, dining out, boating, fishing for me and of course shopping for my wife. Not for herself but always for the kids & grandkids.
We travel frequently to see the grandkids and of course at least 1 cruise every year.
Well I hope I haven't bored you with my story. If you want to drop me a line feel free to do so.
