George's Story

Life My biography. Well after H.S. I went in the Navy. I served on an aircraft carrier as an electrician, the USS Forrestal. After the military I drove a trash truck in K.C. for Deffenbaugh. During this time I attended JCCC. I have been a police officer in Topeka since 1997. In 2000 I was awarded the Medal of Valor for going into a burning building and gett...Expand for more
ing people out. The fire department said that if me and 3 other officers did not do what we did there may have been loss of life and definatley serious injuries. The Medal of Valor is the highest department award an officer can get. I am finally getting back into school at Washburn University. Hopefully in a few years I'll have my degree in Criminal Justice.
