Dennis's Story

Life married Nena Geisler (VPHS '70) in 1974...we've lived in the state of Georgia for the last 35 years...we have 3 wonderful grown children...Erick, Phillip, and Erin..Erick has married well and he and Karen have given us two perfect grandsons..Graysen and Drayten... Both in middle school now but "G" will be in high school next year. I ended my career working as VP of Strategic Planning for IntermedixEMSystems. The firm supported and facilitated disaster response by most of the United States. NOW I am enjoying the life of a retired gentleman. Last summer I hiked the 485 mile El Camino de Santiago ...Expand for more
across Spain. It was the adventure of a lifetime! Nena is the Associate Pastor at Sam Jones UMC in Cartersville, GA. This is a second career for her, and she loves being a Pastor. Both of our boys are in Finance; Erick is a Vice President with Vulcan Materials and Phillip is working as an executive for an IT start up.. Erin is our adventurer...she spent 3 years in covert operations at the CIA...leaving there to get married and run the Homeland Security Information Network for the state of GA. Now Erin is living the good life as a mate to her husband of 8 years, Jeff. Life is sweeeeeet................

On my 60th Birthday...

Looked like a great fixer-upper for me...with fields of grape vines. Between Logrono and Navarette.
This little guy was wild in a park between Logrono and Navarette...yet would come right up and take nuts out of our hands.
This is about a 2 hour hike from Logrono. Unfortunately the clouds prevent giving a sense of how far we hike in that time.
My home away from home for tonight. I have the bottom bunk. There are 6 of us (co-ed) sharing the room and the one bathroom. This is a Deluxe bunk room!
Sunday morning...all is quiet and the Albergue is empty except for me and the little pregnant cat curled up next to me on the couch.
