Life
Still reside in Royal Oak. Now have kids at Kimball and in college, and worry that they are doing the same mindless things I did at that age! Single parent trying to raise kids - what a challenge. Although, my kids truely are the highlight of my life! Like many of us, middle age found me divorced after 18 years of marriage to my college sweetheart. Life continues to move forward in strange and unexpected ways. Completed grad school in 1981 (MBA) and went to work for a hospital. After 22 years in healthcare, and rising to the Vice President level, I experienced the "thrill" of being downsized. It was a blessing in disguise, as I am now self employed as a healtcare consultant and answer only to myself, principal partners, and my clients. ying to stay in shape. Even did a marathon a few years ago. While mentally still 30 years old, physically the body is starting to tell me I'm approaching 50. Besides work and raising kids, keep myself busy pursuing personal interests. Have traveled extensively throughout USA and Europe, and have also just recently discovered the thrill of eco-travel. It's certainly challenging and rewarding, but I still prefer golf resorts, ocean-side hotels, hot tubs, and umbrella drinks! Fight business stress by vegging with a good book, or via my ESPN addiction. Hate living in Michigan and continue to look forward to that day when my kids are somewhat on their own so that I can semi-retire down south somewhere. Love the Carolina's! Until then, will continue to plod through life's routine demands here in Royal Oak.
