Derek's Story
Life
It's May 1, 2007 and I'm looking to finally get my first property of my own. I may have a house built or buy an existing one, new or used. If you know of or see any that are finally resonalbly priced, are under $400,000, are within 15 (preferably within 10) miles of the coast, located between the Mexican boarder and Lompoc (that's about 50 miles north of Santa Barbara) please let me know. I'm single so small or large is fine. Condo or townhouse is possibility. Don't want to be near any busy roads. Prefer privacy & plenty of room between me and the neighbors. I may end up buying in Idaho where I've spent 1/2 my time since 1991 living in the mountains 100 miles north of the capitol...Expand for more
(Boise). My main job since then has been fire lookout in Idaho, spending fire season in small buildings on top of mountains reporting fires. No commute. Sometimes set my alarm for 2 minutes before I start work, but I'm usually up for sunrise. Still surf. I'm secretary of the La Habra Surfing Association.
