Derronne's Story
Life
Married since 1976 to a great man. He has to be great to stay with me all these years! haha.
One son, still at home (a teen)...one stepson, who has given us three grandchildren (2 boys and 1 girl)...yikes, I'm a grandma!
I am a Stay-at-Home mom and I am loving it. I also keep the books, etc. for my husband's business.
We have two dogs, Jack (boston terrior/chihuahua mix) and Rose (dacshund)...both live indoors as they are part of the family and have no clue they are animals.
We enjoy camping when we have a chance to get away. Love antique shopping/hunting! I just love those old kitchen "gadgets". Speaking of hunting, we spend about 10 straight days of every deer season at the deer lease. I never thought I'd see...Expand for more
myself there! But, the time spent with nature and sitting around the campfire with friends and family keep me going back year after year. Our youngest shot a ten point this season!
School
What can I say?! I wasn't an honor student. I guess I looked at school as one huge social event! Ha!
Workplace
okay..first job was cashier at SuperX Drugs while still in school. Next was a nurse's aide position at the only hospital in G.P., also still in school. After nursing school, I worked for a family practice physician for almost 10 years. When hubby began his own business in 1987 I started doing most of the paper work for him...payroll, accts payable/recievable, etc. etc. Currently doing that from home part time.
