Devin's Story
I was born in Texas City, Texas, and grew up in Pasadena. There my biggest influence was being in the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 506. I graduated third in my class from Pasadena High School. I attended Texas A & M University, Galveston, pursuing a degree in Marine Science, then married my high school sweetheart. We have been married over forty five years, and have three sons and ten grandchildren.
In 1975 I started working for Hercules Inc. as a process operator.
We moved to West Columbia in 1978 where I was employed by Phillips 66 Sweeny Refinery as a process operator. While there I was an active church member, serving as deacon, teacher, and song leader, and a Packmaster for Cub Scout Pack 508, West Columbia, Texas.
I retired from Phillips 66 Sweeny, Texas as a lead operator after over thirty six years’ service, and we moved to Granbury, Texas to be closer to children and grandchildren.
